Days 0 and 1
My flight landed into Narita airport and I headed by taxi to a nearby hotel.
The rooms are made out of converted storage units
The inside is really nice, the only issue is the sound of aeroplanes landing next door, sleeping with headphones is recommended.
The next morning
Checking out of the shipping container hotel I headed back to the airport, to collect my pocket wifi and jr pass, the stores for both of which were closed when I arrived yesterday.
With some help from an old lady I'm able to get onto the correct bus, which despite being an airport shuttle doesn't have any luggage area so I just have to try and hold onto my case...
I'm waiting on the train platform to go to Chiba.
A lady appears wearing a combination of rave gear and kawaii fashion and asks me if this is the correct place for her train.
We chat she's an American doing a day trip to Japan from Korea for some sort of event here but speaks very little Japanese.
The member of station staff on the platform eyes us with disgust the entire time.
