Day 3 Meeting Jamie

Jamie doesn't work on Wednesday so I arranged to meet up with him today. 
We started with conveyor belt sushi 🍣🍤🍣
When you're finished with the plates you hurle/ slide them down this slot. They are then counted and the charge added to your bill

Book off is a second hand book shop chain, they have a vast range of manga in stock for ~£2 a volume.
Jamie encountered this truely excellent find

Book off sells these collections of various manga so you can grab the whole set at once. There's no discount though. 
I didn't buy this.

After manga shopping it was off to torikizoku
Torikizoku is a large chain, you order using a table and everything on the menu costs the same.
This is the place with the smart idea of using labelled glasses for alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks

Days 0 and 1

My flight landed into Narita airport and I headed by taxi to a nearby hotel. The rooms are made out of converted storage units  The inside is really nice, the only issue is the sound of aeroplanes landing next door, sleeping with headphones is recommended. The next morning Checking out of the shipping container hotel I headed back to the airport, to collect my pocket wifi and jr pass, the stores for both of which were closed when I arrived yesterday.  With some help from an old lady I'm able to get onto the correct bus, which despite being an airport shuttle doesn't have any luggage area so I just have to try and hold onto my case... Day 2 Chiba Tour

Returned to Chiba today, Chiba is part of the greater Tokyo area. It's a bit like Hammersmith, if Hammersmith had a population of 5 million. The Tour The anime "My teenage romantic snaffu" is set in Chiba and someone, I presume the Chiba area council?, decided to try and boost tourism by running an event for a month.  The event is something of a self guided tour, information is provided by an app, that can only be installed on phones with the play/app store set to Japan because Japan. The map: Due to Japan and Google I couldn't install the app, however, I'd arranged to spend the day with a native who agreed to go along on the tour with me.  The app had some features where you could take photos with the characters imposed on top and some ar features where it would impose an image over the camera feed based on your location.  Here's some examples I stole from twitter. iykyk  this is some information about the shrin...
